The error 'The error 8 - attempt to write a readonly database' usually would occur from your Windows operating system from the Photobook Designer offline software when user tries to save their project in Photobook Designer. It may also occur randomly when user is in the process of designing their project, as the software autosave project. 
Do check the following:
Certain security software might restrict programs from generating files. In this case, it is not allowing Photobook Designer to create the project folder when the customer tries to save. You may temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software that you might have and try saving again.
